Solar incentives by state

State, utility and local solar incentives change often, so instead of copying figures that go stale, we link each state to its live listing in DSIRE, the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center), which tracks rebates, tax credits, performance payments, loans and net metering policies.

How to use DSIRE

1. Open your state below.
2. Filter by "Solar Photovoltaics" and "Residential".
3. Open each program and check its status, deadline and the official administrator link.
4. Confirm eligibility with the program administrator (and a tax professional for tax credits).
